Francesco is very passionate and excited about the future of Dj-ing and also performing.
More and more technology is being introduced at a faster rate than ever. We now have
laptops that power such programs as Traktor and Ableton live. This enables the Dj/Producer/Artist
to actively mix, edit, sample, and loop on the fly, quite literally, live. Francesco
is currently learning how to use Ableton live. "Who know’s what can happen in the
future. It’s all very exciting. We now see live visuals coming into Clubs with such
Dj’s as Sander Kleinenberg. It’s realy amazing how far we have come in the last 10
years". Also, Francesco is currently studying Music Technology at Stoke-On-Trent
College. Here, he is learning a whole new ball game. The course comprises of Sequencing,
Editing, Sampling and Mastering techniques amongst others. This course will help
him in the production side of things and maybe one day, produce some great records.
"It’s realy cool how music comes together like that. There is a lot to learn but
with some great programs around such as Cuebase, it will surely be fun!"
Only small parties and commercial venues have given francesco little work. But it
isn’t enough. Wanting to play Underground Dance Music, he soon realised that his
home town had a lack of venues to play at. As he pressed on he then had the idea
of starting his own parties within the area. "It’s all about the music", he adds.
It’s the underground scene that he’s trying to bring back. Himself, close friends
and other Dj’s are planning a cool, new promotion that is in the pipeline and ready
to go live very soon. So watch this space!
